Community celebrates grand opening of Georgia Printco

| The Lakeland-Lanier County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting
ceremony Dec. 29 to welcome Georgia Printco to the community. Shown here

Sheldon Hurst IV, Elizabeth Hurst, Gene Hurst, Jeannie Clarke, Alex Lee,
Laura Fitch, and Jaime Gibbons. The ribbon-cutting was part of Georgia
Printco’s grand opening Christmas party, featuring refreshments and
appetizers, a live DJ, and games. The sign business with an international
impact is located in the 1014 W Thigpen Ave., Lakeland, building that
formerly housed a cabinet shop. Originally founded in Pennsylvania, Georgia
Printco moved here from Tifton a year ago. The company produced the UPS 100th
anniversary banners that hang in New York City’s Times Square and 16 other
major cities worldwide.
